Show structural elements in MEP floor plans

Issue:

Structural elements from a linked model don’t appear in floor plans, which would be useful for coordinating the design of MEP systems such as duct, pipe, conduit, and cable tray.

Cause

By default, MEP floor plans display Architectural and Structural elements along the Cut Plane elevation.

Affected Software

All versions of Revit.

Resolution

In the Visibility/Graphic Overrides, change the Display Settings for the linked model to “Custom”.

Change the Linked View to the structural plan in the linked model that displays the desired structural elements. Change the View Range to <By linked view> to apply the View Range settings in the linked view.
