Issue
When using “Load Family” to load the out-of-the-box content, the usual folder structure is missing with no content available.
Reason
The default installation of Revit does not include this content. Since Autodesk software is now downloaded from the Autodesk Account, the content is not included to reduce download time and file size. Also, with the inclusion of the Cloud based content tool, not including the content by default encourages the use of this tool.
Solution
The content can be downloaded and automatically installed using a self-extraction tool. The content is available from these links below:
