Question:

Is there a way to tie a color change to a markup status on Bluebeam Revu?

Answer:

Yes, you can change color based on status. This is very common!

Note: If the file is going to be in a Studio Session, these actions need to be done before uploading the file to the Session.

  1. Go into the Markup List and select Status Settings and Manage Status.

  2. Then select each status > Modify and check the box for Color and choose your color.Picture2.png
  3. After doing these steps, setting the status will update the markup with the color selected.

You are unable to change the defaults for either of the stock Status State Models. When editing the stock State Models (Review & Migration) the changes will be on a per document basis. If you wish to edit the States properties so that they stick each time a new PDF is used, you will need to create a custom State Model, setup the States with the needed properties, and then Save to Profile.
