How-to install or update the AdSSO (Autodesk Single Sign-on Component)

Summary

This article explores the AdSSO download and installation for the Windows platform.

Important Notes:

This update provides a standalone installer and doesn't require installation of any other updates.
For administrators deploying 2020 - 2024 products, Autodesk recommends installing the latest Autodesk Single Sign On Component update before installing your Autodesk product. Alternatively, you can replace the Autodesk Single Sign On Component Installer within the product installation files prior to deploying the product.

How to Install:

Option 1: Use the installer from the Autodesk Access (recommended)

Close all Autodesk applications.
Go to the Task Manager and end the AdSSO.exe process (if running).
Open Autodesk Access and sign into your Autodesk Account.
Click the My Updates tab.
Find the notification for an update with the title "Single Sign On Component-V13.7.7-2020.7 SecurityFix English-US 64-Bit".
Click Update and wait until the process finishes.

Option 2: Use the installer attached to this article

Close all Autodesk applications,.
Go to the Task Manager and end the AdSSO.exe process (if running).
Download and unzip adsso_2023_7_64-bit-update_installer.zip (see link at the bottom of this article).
Double-click the Adsso.msi file to start the installation.
Follow the Installation dialogs until the process is complete.

Note: if the AdSSO process is running or if any Autodesk application is open during the install, you may see the following dialog. If you do, click OK to proceed.
