How-to stop or force a server shutdown (LMTools)

Intro

This article will outline how to stop or force a server shutdown using LMtools.

To Stop the server

1. From the Start menu, search for LMTOOLS.
2. In LMTOOLS, click the Stop/Start/Read tab.
3. Select the service name for the license server you want to stop manually.
4. Select Stop

To Force a server shutdown

1. Follow steps 1-3 above
2. Check the box for Force Server Shutdown
3. Select Stop
