Question:

How do I generate a user license or create an offline activation string for CADD Apps for Revit (FilterPlus, Warnings Plus, Dashboard, and Toolbox)?

Answer:

CADD Community users have access to download and install our CADD Apps for Revit. These are FilterPlus, Warnings Plus, Dashboard, and Toolbox.

Users may request their license to these apps be activated. CADD Microsystems limits a quantity of 3 activations, meaning 3 devices on which these apps can be installed on.

Users may submit a request for an offline activation string to use these apps, which looks like the below:

Below are the steps CADD Microsystems will need to follow:

  1. Locate the CADD Community sales order in Netsuite. This will confirm the date of the sale. The CADD App license will be set for 1 year from this sales date. You can also confirm how many CADD Community licenses this company should have.

  2. Launch the CMI License Portal and go to the Generate License tab
  3. Enter in the user's email address, 3 for the Quantity of activations, set the expiration date to be 1 year out from the sales date, and enter "WP, FP, DB, TBR, TBA, TB" for the CADD Apps software codes.
  4. Click Generate License to create the license for the user.
  5. If the user also requested an offline activation string, go to the Activate License after generating the license (shown above).
  6. Enter in the details exactly as written in the user's offline activation request email and click Activate.
  7. Copy and paste the activation string and email this to the customer. They should paste this specific string into their CADD Apps activation dialog to activate offline.
