Error: "Cannot resolve schemas. Repair your installation or contact Autodesk Support" when launching Revit

Issue

You see the following error when attempting to open Revit: 

"Cannot resolve schemas. Repair your installation or contact Autodesk Support."

Cause

Revit was launched while an update was running. The update will likely fail as a result.
