Question:
How to enable or disable the 2 Factor Authentication every time I sign into my Autodesk Account?
Answer:
Two-step verification adds an extra layer of security by requiring a security code when you sign in to any Autodesk account. When this setting is enabled, in addition to your email and password, you will need to enter a verification code received on your authenticator app / mobile device.
Enable 2 Factor Authentication verification
1. Download an authenticator app (such as Duo Mobile or Google Authenticator) to your mobile device.
2. Sign in to your account at profile.autodesk.com/security.
3. Click Set up under Set up 2-step verification.
4. Enter your email and password and click Continue.
5. Scan the QR code using your authenticator app and click Continue.
5. Enter the verification code generated from the authenticator app, and click Continue.
6. Click Done in the verification message to complete the process.
7. The next time you sign in, you must enter the verification code from the authenticator app and your email and password.
Disable 2 Factor Authentication verification
NOTE: Only the account owner can disable 2-step verification, and the user must have access to their account.
1. Login to https://profile.autodesk.com/security
2. Select "Edit" from the 2-step verification section, and the Edit 2-step verification screen is displayed.
3. Enter your account password and select "Continue" to make a change.
4. Select "Turn Off" to disable.
