You’ve received an error message when you open your Autodesk product.

Cause

Autodesk Network License Manager (LMTools) could not retrieve a license file from the server and reported a specific error message.

All network-licensed Autodesk products.

The license server machine is down or not responding. See the system administrator about starting the server and verifying that the service is running or ensure you're referring to the correct host.

Potential Causes:

  1. The server is running, but there is no license for that product.
  2. Using Autodesk software versions newer than 2022 without updating the License Manager (Current version: 11.18.x)
  3. Port conflict with another vendor.
  4. Corrupted cas file, which can be found here:
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Adlm

Error [- 15.570.0]

Official meaning:

Cannot connect to the license server system. The server (lmgrd) has yet to be started, the wrong port@host or license file is being used, or the TCP/IP port or hostname in the license file has been changed.

How to fix it:

  1. Check to make sure your license server is running.
  2. Set the FLEXLM_TIMEOUT to 5000000 if on VPN 9000000

All available licenses are checked out from your license server. Speak to your salesperson about increasing the number of licenses, or make sure that all users are active in the product and ask them to close it if not.
